Printune is a free web and desktop tool that transforms any Spotify track, album, playlist, or artist link into a custom 3D-printable keychain. It fetches the official scannable Spotify code, converts the bar heights into high-precision 3D geometry, and exports a print-ready STL file for your 3D printer.

Do 3D-printed Spotify keychains actually scan with a smartphone?

Yes! When printed with high contrast between the background base and the raised code bars (for example, white bars on a black base or black bars on a white base), the Spotify mobile app camera scanner can easily read the code and instantly play your song.

How do I print a dual-color keychain on a single-extruder 3D printer?

You can easily print dual-color keychains on any standard single-extruder printer (like Ender 3, Prusa MK3/MK4, or Bambu Lab) by adding a pause or filament change command (M600) at the layer where the base ends and the Spotify code bars begin. Slice the STL in PrusaSlicer, Cura, Bambu Studio, or OrcaSlicer and insert a filament change at the bar height.

What 3D file formats does Printune provide?

Printune provides universal STL files for immediate slicing and 3D printing, as well as STEP base files for CAD designers who wish to import and modify the geometry in software like Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Blender.

Is Printune free to use?

Yes, Printune is 100% free and open source. You can generate unlimited keychains directly in your browser or download the standalone desktop version for Windows and Linux.

Non-Affiliation: Printune is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Spotify AB, or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates.
Trademarks: The name “Spotify” as well as related names, marks, emblems, logos, and images are registered trademarks of Spotify AB. Spotify Codes and their scanning visual technology are the property of Spotify AB.
No Audio Hosting: Printune does not stream, host, download, rip, or redistribute copyrighted audio files or music recordings. We only parse public share links and calculate geometric 3D mesh data from publicly accessible barcode heights.

3. 3D Printing Disclaimer & Scannability Notice

The 3D model files (STL, STEP) generated by Printune are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind:

Scannability: While the generated geometry conforms to Spotify Code proportions, optical scanning performance in the Spotify app depends entirely on your 3D printer calibration, slicer settings, nozzle diameter, layer height, lighting conditions, and the visual contrast between the base filament and the raised bar filament. We cannot guarantee that every 3D print will scan under all conditions.
Hardware & Print Safety: You are solely responsible for the safe operation of your 3D printer and slicing software. We are not liable for any printer damage, material waste, or accidents resulting from printing downloaded files.

4. Permitted Use

You are granted a personal, revocable, non-exclusive license to use Printune to generate 3D models for personal, hobbyist, and educational purposes. Commercial mass distribution of trademarked identifiers may be subject to Spotify's developer terms and brand guidelines, which you are responsible for adhering to.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer (Sebastian De Leon) or contributors to Printune be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use this tool, including but not limited to loss of data, printer malfunction, or third-party intellectual property disputes.
